Qatar University supports a wide variety of scholarship recipients in each academic year in order to attract highly qualified and talented students. The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and talent.

| H.H. the Emir of Qatar’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence | Outstanding Qatari high-school graduates | Tuition and textbook waiver, 1,000 QAR monthly stipend for 9 months each academic year |
| Talent Scholarship | Students with proven talent (Qatari or non-Qatari) in fields like science, innovation, arts, sports, media | Tuition and textbook waiver, 1,000 QAR monthly stipend; for international students: housing, transport, airfare, residence permit |
| GCC Qatari Certificate Scholarship (Non-Competitive) | GCC nationals who completed high school in Qatar | Tuition fee waiver |
